called Khasak.(Was the author aware
that `Appu-Killis’ will later on brand him a `RSS man?’). Vijayan also sees to
it that the books Ravi carries are `pulp and scripture. ‘
Vijayan perhaps didn’t want his protagonist to be an ‘intellectual.’
